Portrait Commissions

Through my portrait work I try to capture both the physical and emotional likeness of each subject.  My work is realistic but painterly.  Visible brushstrokes solidify the energy of the painting process in time.  Many of my clients have commissioned a portrait as a special gift, for a wedding, anniversary, or birthday.  Many also commission portraits of their own family members, as a memorial, or to immortalize the youth of their children.

Testimonials

“We love the painting of Ethan and Sydney.  You absolutely captured the moment and more importantly highlighted Sydney's protective hand on little brother.  When I look at the painting it brings me right back to that beautiful day on the beach and that precious moment in time.  You are extremely talented and I thank you for making this such a personal piece of art.”  - Cari, Toronto

“I love, love, love my paintings.  The warmth and sense of home that they add is amazing and palpable.  Beyond beautiful works of art, they are of my babies…each painting captures the spirit of them so completely – I find myself looking at Benj wondering what is he thinking under those curly locks, while Ruby’s stare keeps me honest – you really did capture her intensity and purity of character in those eyes.  I will sing your praises to anyone who will listen, but really, the work speaks for itself.”  - Leigh, Toronto
