'Modern Primitive' - A series of mixed media paintings on paper commissioned by the Canadian Federal Gov't as a purchase grant. The work explores the lineage and influence of primitive functional (and often spiritual or ritual) design on modern functional design. 80 paintings were purchased from this series and have become part of various public collections.

'Ritual' - A series of mixed media paintings and drawings on paper. These works were exhibited at Gallery San Chun in Calgary, Alberta, alongside the ceramic work or Robin DuPont. All works revolved around the theme of human rituals, including religious rituals, personal rituals, and the process of throwing pottery on a wheel as a metaphor for ritual in itself.
